Thaddeus & I have often gone out on complaint from homeowners. We generally meet the homeowners after they have selected their flooring and are very unhappy. Many times their unhappiness is with the choice they made in purchasing their flooring. I wish we had a nickel for every time we have heard They never told us it would.... Our salesman did not mention..... I just had no idea....How do we find out about this... and many statement like this.

We always feel bad when we have to inform a customer that the flooring is well within the industry standards for performance and wear. Even though it has not performed to your expectation. Part of the problem is that the customer was either not totally informed (many times this is not the sales persons fault the salesperson themselves does not know) or the salesperson was not explaining in layman language so that the customer could understand. Many times when going shopping for new flooring we are mostly interested in what color and how much. Flooring is a high ticket item purchased maybe three times in ones own life. To truly make a good decision we need to know all the facts. Often, we do not know the questions so how can we ask them and get the facts we need to make sound decision. Let's face it, the salesperson has a vested interest in selling the carpet to you. If you were to say I like that color they are unlikely to tell you that the fiber is not appropriate for your needs. Ultimately it is up to you to educate yourself before going out to purchase your new flooring. A lot of information must be taken into consideration when purchasing your flooring.
