Bleach Testing

Bleach testing can be done with the same chemical that is used in testing chloride in the swimming pool, but using a much stronger solution. Since this solution can stain the fabric it is safer to moisten the affected area with water and then apply a Q-Tip. The cotton suave then can be tested.

Clorox type bleach will generally turn the Q-Tip orange and oxygen bleach will turn it turquoise. You can find the Bleach Test Kit at Americolor.
