Design Flaws Reports

Design flaws are not defects, but instead come from the combinations of normal characteristics of the individual  components of a carpet, that lead to a problem that is exceptional compared to other carpets in the market place.

  1. Crushing Inherent in Design This report was done for the homeowner and it is more of a design flaw. However, it was installed on a cold day and without proper power stretching.
  2. Pile Height in Seam from Design Flaw The pile height on this carpet was too high to support its density. Therefore, the yarns would lean over forming a noticeable seam.
  3. Design Flaw Olefin & Nylon This report was commission by the cleaner and the manufacture mixed nylon and olefin.
  4. 'U' shape spot This report was done for an insurance company where a carpet of lessor density is installed in place of a carpet of the same weight. An 'U Shape Spot' starts forming that was likely due in part to the pile height and weight.
