According to the FLOORCOVERING DICTIONARY it says this about BOWED OR SKEWED PATTERN:
BOWED OR SKEWED PATTERN -This occurs in printed carpets when the pattern is obviously distorted. This distortion is visible as you look across the carpet. Bow and skew can be the result of a defect in manufacturing. Sometimes skewing (one side ahead of the other) is the result of improper installation.
