Maintenance Reports

  Maintenance problems are created by the end users, whereas Cleaning Errors are made by professionals. The reports in the menu above are purely maintenance problems; the ones below could fall into another category too.

  1. Bleach with fluorescent This report was done for the carpet mill and the claimant swore that she only used water to do her spot cleaning.
  2. Traffic Lane Greys This report was commissioned by the specifer, where a management company of a commercial building where it was rumored that they were only vacuuming once a week. ASTM5151 was run to show no defects in the carpet.
  3. Bleach Spots from Railway Iron This report was done for the carpet mill and there was an agreement in the end for the installer, carpet cleaner, and homeowner to do a three way split for the repair.
  4. Browning from Dog Oil This report was commissioned by the carpet cleaner and there was something liken to cellulosic browning on the carpet.
  5. Spots from Optical Brightener This report was written for the carpet cleaner and the red spots were created by furniture cleaner with a pH indicator dye.
  6. Spots Made My Acne Medicine This report was done for the carpet mill.
  7. Urine in a Rented Room This report was done for a landlord and explains how to identify and treat urine problems.
  8. Urine Makes Textile Toilet This report was done for a landlord and explains how to identify and treat urine problems.
  9. Urine Under UV This report was done for a fiber producer.
  10. Yellow Spots made with Folex This report was commissioned by the dealer and the Foley was found to be of safe pH, and the stain resistance was defective.
  11. Yellow Spots from Dog Urine This report was commissioned by an insurance company and the claimant used three different chemicals to get pet stains out and then the carpet yellowed. Although, the yellowing could have been from stain resistance turning yellow, it  turned out to be urine.
  12. Yellowing from Defective Stain-resist This report was commissioned by the dealer and approximately two weeks after the carpet was installed, the claimant used a product called ‘CARPET FRESH’ that left a red stain.
